Privacy policy

Short version: your documents never leave your device. This page explains the rest in plain language.

Your files

When you open or create a document, your browser reads and edits it on your own device. Wrdio does not upload your documents, and we cannot see them.

What we collect

• Technical logs. Like most websites, the server that delivers this site may keep standard logs, such as your IP address, the page you asked for, the time, and your browser type. We use them to keep the site secure and working, and we don't use them to identify you.
• Messages you send us. If you use the contact form, we receive your email address, the topic you chose and your message. The form sends them to the site owner by email, and our server then deletes its copy. If the email cannot be sent at once, the server keeps the message for just over a day while it tries again, then deletes it. Email is handled by the owner's mail provider. We use messages only to reply. To have yours deleted, ask us to delete the email and any reply.

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not sell personal data.

Cookies and similar technologies

Wrdio does not set cookies of its own today. If that changes, for example when we add analytics or ads, we will update this page first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before anything is stored on your device.

Advertising

We may show ads served by Google AdSense or similar services. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. You can manage personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of many vendors at aboutads.info. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland will be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to correct or delete it, and to object to how it is used. Because we keep very little, there is usually little to give, but write to us and we will help.

Children

Wrdio is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
